Acer Edu Summit 2023, Transformation Toward World-Class Education, is a one-day conference offering up-to-date guidance for education leaders and stakeholders to navigate the complexities of transformation impacting every aspect of school management. It provides facilitators to help envision what’s possible and develop a roadmap strategy based on deep thought of the learning process, tackling the most common challenges from real-world practices worldwide.

The event will be held hybrid: offline and online, in Bahasa Indonesia. Participants will be education stakeholders such as school leaders, heads of curriculums, government representatives, and school foundations from Indonesia.

Ir. Suharti, M.A., Ph.D., is the Secretary General of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia. Obtained Master degree in Applied Economics from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA class of 1999 and Ph.D., from Australian National University, Canberra, Australia in Demography and Social Research class of 2013. Suharti continues to make program breakthroughs to improve gender equality in all sectors through education and national development planning.

Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation, Associate Dean (International Engagement), Faculty of Education and Human Development, The Education University of Hong Kong

Prof. LIM Cher Ping is a Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation and Associate Dean (International Engagement) at The Education University of Hong Kong and a Visiting Professor at the UNESCO International Centre for Higher Education Innovations. He is the Editor-in-Chief of The Internet and Higher Education that is ranked number 1 in E-learning (SSCI and Scopus) for the last six years. Before joining the university in late 2010, he was a Professor of Education, Director of International Partnerships and Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence for Teacher Education and Innovations in Western Australia. Over the last two decades, he has engaged major education stakeholders at the national and international levels as his research and development partners for enhancing equity, quality and efficiency in the education sector enabled by information and communication technologies.

Associate Prof. Grace Oakley

Associate Professor Grace Oakley has been a teacher educator since 2000, with a particular interest in language and literacy in the Early Childhood and Primary years and the use of ICTs in language and literacy education. She is also interested in innovative teaching practices in Higher Education. Prior to working in Higher Education, Grace qualified and worked as a Primary School teacher in Western Australia. Grace supervises a number of research students, and is especially interested in supervising students in the areas of literacy and educational technology.

Associate Prof. Seng Chee TAN

Associate Dean, Graduate Education by Research, Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning
Associate Professor, National Institute of Education – Learning Sciences and Assessment, Singapore

Dr Seng Chee TAN is the Associate Dean (Graduate Education by Research), Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning, National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is leading the PhD, Doctor in Education, and Master’s by Research programmes in NIE. He completed his PhD (Instructional Systems) from the Pennsylvania State University in 2000 under the NTU Overseas Graduate Scholarship. He has been working on integrating technologies into education within NIE, university and beyond.
He has been active in promoting the use of technologies in NIE and has been serving as the co-chair for the [email protected] implementation committee, co-chair for emerging technologies strategic growth area, co-chair for Data Empowerment Programme, and contributed as the Head of the Learning Sciences & Technologies academic group.

Prof. Ir. Tian Belawati, M.Ed., Ph.D.

Former Chancellor of Indonesia Open University (Universitas Terbuka)

Prof. Ir. Tian Belawati, M.Ed., Ph.D., began her career at Indonesia Open University in 1985. After obtaining her undergraduate degree from IPB, she was elected as Chancellor twice at Indonesia Open University (Universitas Terbuka) until 2017 and pursued her Master’s degree at Simon Fraser University. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

She has received several awards from Raven Navaro Pieter, including the GTP-Bappenas Awards as an independent researcher in 1993, the World Bank Awards through The Young Academic Program of Indonesian the Directorate General for Higher Education (YAP-DGHE) as an independent researcher in 1997, YAP-DGHE Awards for international publications in 1998, IDRC-Pan Asia Organization Award for independent researchers in 1999, Fulbright Award for independent senior researchers in 2001, and AAOU Meritorious Service Award as individuals who have made a real contribution in the field of open and distance education away in 2012
